Description: The blue-green Atacamite spots are accompanied by a mix of Malachite and Quartz. Atacamite is a rare secondary copper mineral formed through the oxidation of other copper minerals, especially in arid, saline conditions. It was first described for deposits in the Atacama Desert of Chile in 1802.
